With an early childhood spent in Nigeria I grew up with travel in my blood.

I am a photographer and film maker with over 24 years professional experience.  I started my working life as a commercial Oceanographer having graduated with a degree in Ocean Sciences but then in 1994, having spent several years working abroad followed by a stint with an Oceanographic survey company in the UK, I decided it was time to follow my passion and concentrate on photography.   Now some 24 years later I'm fortunate to still be working as a photographer and more recently as an award winning film maker.

With clients ranging from the charitable to corporate sectors I have worked in many varied and remote locations around the world as well as domestic work here in the UK - at the last count I had worked and traveled in just over 100 countries across all continents with the exception of Antarctica.  My passion is looking into the lives of others - photography gives me reason and the tools to do this.

In 2011 my short film "Reflections on sixty" was the winner in category at the Kendal Mountain Festival.

I often undertake personal projects both at home and abroad - some of which can be seen in the "journeys" section of this site.
